Customer Review: I hate these shoes
They are comfotable thats the only good thing. I spend most of the time picking rocks out of the sole of the shoes. I have never seen a shoe that has this problem this bad before. If you dont pick them out it sounds like your wearing tap shoes and scratches the hell of of nice floors. Now there is a squeek in the right shoe that I cannot get to go away.They are 1 week old and going into the trash. They are very comfortable but I will never buy another pair of Merrell.

These are my 7th or 8th pair of Merrells these are excellent for a rough trail shoe as the side walls are reinforced with extra layers to protect from side impacts...also makes the whole shoe firmer.....great service arrived as expected!!! keep up the great work !!

Customer Review: Once you break them in they're the best.
I've worn the various Waterpro's for the past few years, and I LOVE them. You have to break them in before they're comfortable, but they are rugged and reliable. Once they are properly broken in, they feel great. They're great for hiking, and you can really throw them in the wash. They dry fast. Plus, they just look totally cool!

I love how they felt, it was almost as if I did not have on a high heel shoe, of course it was a low heel. I am used to wearing flat shoes, but I loved the height on these shoes.

Another excellent Merrell shoe and it does run small so order a size larger and more important do not purchase from Shoebuy.com they will not accept a return for larger size if you 'wear' them, i.e. put them on to see if they fit..they returned my shoes and refused a refund etc. Buyer beware of this cheesy supplier

Customer Review: Wish I could give the shoe 5 stars
I've done everything in these shoes: hiking in Colorado, canoeing in Virginia, November steelhead fishing in New York, Walleye fishing on Lake Erie. They are by far the most maintenance-free shoe I've ever owned. They are definitely waterproof, and the synthetic material actually kept my wet feet warm in 40-degree temperatures (don't ask me how, but I was surprised). Two problems with these shoes: 1. too narrow. I got a blister the first hike with these shoes, and my right little toe tends to rub often when I wear them. I even got a 1/2 size too large. 2. shoestrings are junk. The tubular shoestrings will NOT stay tied. I bought a $2 pair of flat strings and they've been fine. I would recommend this shoe, but if you think you have wide feet, you better walk around in them first!

Loved my first pair of Merrell, lasted for ever. This pair the outside sole started peeling off (both shoes!) leaving a hole for sand to make its way into the shoe. Haven't been able to get someone on the phone, hopefully it was just a defect and not the product of inferior materials

comfortable and good for "treks" in the country or city. Style also seems to work good with jeans on a night out on the town ... kind of a "cross-over" shoe. only reason I gave it 4-stars is the laces sometimes come off the top "hooks" if you don't lace them up too tight.

Customer Review: Most comfortable hiking boots I own...
to say in short:these boots are well worth the money even if you are just a day hiker...they really are completely waterproof(Gore-tex is apparently good stuff) and the traction and grip(even on wet rocks)that the Vibrom soles give is almost unbelievable. Extremely comfortable:I have had these for only five days. Of which three of those days was constant hiking in the White Mountain Region,so they were put to rigourous use. I have read reviews where people say these shoes make their feet sweat, I have not experienced this problem at all,even while hiking.(Although my feet don't normally sweat anyways so....)The one odd thing I noticed was that on the side of the heel there were some crease marks...not sure whats up with that but if something goes amiss I'll add it in here later...Other than that I highly recommend this boot....oh and Merrell is s subsidiary company to Wolverine, the company that makes boots for our honorable United States Soldiers.
