I have found these shoes to be refreshenly comfortable. I bought them for doing missionary work in rural Rwanda. The shoes held up well in the terrain and were extremely comfortable. I will definately purchase another pair when I need them.

Customer Review: Poorly fitting
These shoes were poorly fitting so I returned them. I had to size down one full shoe size, and they were still very sloppy in the heel counter, such that I had visions of blisters. Although I've been generally happy with the way Merrell brand shoes fit, these were awful. I would not recommend them!!!

I love the look of the boot - exactly what I was looking for - great for work, but also great for casual footwear. I found that they fit a little snug - so I would reccommend ordering a 1/2 size larger than you would normally wear.

These shoes have great grip for hiking but little ankle support. They are comfortable but not as great as the previous generation that had more cushion. They track a lot of mud into the house.

I've worn out many boots in the last 30 years and these are among the best.Great fit feel looks traction for a low cut boot these might even handle a 2-3 day backpack over rough backcountry.Only walked a few miles around town but I can tell these boots require no break-in time and are ready to take on whatever you can put them through.They won't last forever but you'll get a lot of miles while tearing up the trails and not your feet.

Customer Review: Wish I could give the shoe 5 stars
I've done everything in these shoes: hiking in Colorado, canoeing in Virginia, November steelhead fishing in New York, Walleye fishing on Lake Erie. They are by far the most maintenance-free shoe I've ever owned. They are definitely waterproof, and the synthetic material actually kept my wet feet warm in 40-degree temperatures (don't ask me how, but I was surprised). Two problems with these shoes: 1. too narrow. I got a blister the first hike with these shoes, and my right little toe tends to rub often when I wear them. I even got a 1/2 size too large. 2. shoestrings are junk. The tubular shoestrings will NOT stay tied. I bought a $2 pair of flat strings and they've been fine. I would recommend this shoe, but if you think you have wide feet, you better walk around in them first!

Instant comfort, no break-in needed. Ordering one size larger than your street shoe should be fine. However, they came from ShoeMall and delivery took 14 days. Update: Boots are very pliable. Good boot for smooth trails. For rocky terrain, find a stiffer boot.

I bought these boots for Nordic Walking on nature trails here in the South during summer time. I decided for Merrell Moab Ventilator Mid in order to have a ankle support on rocky trails and a very good breathing shoe down here with the high humidity in summer.This boot with a sportman insole fits my foot like custom made, I even wear them riding my mountain bike. I was warned about the size, my size is 12.5 but 13 just fits tight with good hiking socks.

I've never had a good pair of boots before I got these as a gift- I was very pleasantly surprised! I have never bought the brand Merrell before, but they fit perfectly and are so comfortable! They seem really thin (I was always used to having to wear bulky boots) but they keep my feet so warm and dry! I stepped in a 6 inch puddle the other day and felt nothing! I love how unique they look (there's a special surprise on the soles of the shoes too :) and they are comfortable as gym shoes! I get compliments all the time and no one else has them! They are definitely worth the price, and I've actually considered buying a second pair!
